Twenty-nine home runs and 26 stolen bases at AA, age 21, is the kind of line that makes you sit up — and then you look at the translation and the sit-up becomes a squint. The raw power translates to a .166 ISO against MLB pitching, which clears the MLB average of .150, but the 27% strikeout rate against that same competition is the thing the whole profile hangs on. Hope has 62 walks in 564 AA plate appearances to cushion the contact risk, and he's punishing mistakes when he connects, but if the strikeout rate doesn't compress as pitchers get sharper, the hit tool erodes and you're left with a power/speed corner bat who can't stay in the lineup every day. Either a second-division regular with impact tool flashes, or a bench piece riding the tools he has right now.
