What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is doing a lot of carrying here, and the strikeout rate isn't keeping up. Across AA & A+, Marte has posted a 3.4 BB/9 and 9.4 K/9 through 107.6 innings, which translates to roughly 7.8 K/9 and 3.7 BB/9 against big-league hitters — both sitting below league average, with a K-BB% that comes in at 11.7% against a field where 13.5% is the waterline. The profile lives on contact management and command tightening, because if the strikeout rate doesn't climb as the competition does, there's no secondary skill to lean on. The ceiling here is a depth arm, and that's what it stays if the command holds; if it slips, the floor is the same answer with fewer innings.
