The .419 OBP across AA & A+ is what grabs you, but the tension in Theo Gillen's profile is whether the contact quality survives MLB pitching. A .382 BABIP inflating a .315 average is the honest concern, yet a 14% walk rate and 22 home runs across AA & A+ in 533 plate appearances tell you this isn't someone simply riding balls in play — there's genuine strike-zone control and developing power underneath the batting average. The MLB-equivalent translation does knock the strikeout rate above league average and the power back toward ordinary, which is exactly what you'd expect from a 20-year-old still moving through the system, and the 44 stolen bases add a real dimension that survives level changes better than hit tools do.
