The surface numbers are loud: .569 slugging and .263 ISO across AA & A+ at age 20, with 15 stolen bases in 300 plate appearances. But the translation quiets them. That ISO shrinks to .170 in MLB context, roughly league average, and a 27% strikeout rate across AA & A+ becomes 28.3% against big-league arms, well above the 22.0% mean. The .392 BABIP is doing a lot of work on that .307 average, and when contact-dependent hitters run inflated BABIPs the question isn't whether the number will move, it's how far. If the strikeout rate firms up and the BABIP settles somewhere reasonable, you get a live-armed center fielder who can hurt you; if the contact doesn't develop, the power is fringe-average against MLB stuff and the rest of the line evaporates with the batting average.
