Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The .407 on-base percentage at A+ is the kind of number that makes you stop scrolling, especially when it comes with 40 walks and 40 strikeouts in 275 plate appearances, a hitter who takes as many free passes as he gives away outs. At 21, Ronny Hernandez is posting a .955 OPS against High-A pitching with an ISO of .243, and the translation says both the contact and the plate discipline carry: a 19.8% strikeout rate below league average and a 10.5% walk rate above it. The hinge is the position, a first baseman whose ceiling gets graded as a bench or platoon bat, which means the bat has to carry the whole profile and leave almost nothing on the table. If the power translates as cleanly as the approach suggests, he's a useful corner piece; if it doesn't, what's left is a patient, limited-upside organizational contributor who hit well at A+.
