Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The contact-to-power ratio here is unusual enough to build a case around. At AAA this season, Robert Moore is hitting .227 with 14 home runs across 308 plate appearances, and the translated ISO of .173 lands meaningfully above where most MLB hitters sit while his strikeout rate translates to 18% against a pool where 22% is ordinary. The BABIP of .220 is the variable that keeps this from being a straightforward story: if his batted-ball luck normalizes even modestly, the average climbs toward something that makes the rest of the profile functional, but if that .220 reflects real contact quality rather than variance, he's a guy with real pop and limited utility. Either a solid bench bat with occasional thump or a fringe roster piece who can't stay on the field because teams can't afford the average, depending entirely on whether that BABIP is noise.
