What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The strikeout rate is the one thing working for him, and it's not enough. At AAA in 558 plate appearances, Noah Miller is making contact, posting an 18 K% that translates to 20.2% against big-league pitching, where most hitters swing and miss more often than that. The problem is that the contact doesn't do much: a .14 ISO at AAA translates to .122 at the MLB level, noticeably short of what average big-league power looks like, and 53 walks in 558 plate appearances produce an OBP of .321 that lands in the 26th percentile of his peer pool. If the power doesn't develop, you're left with a contact-oriented shortstop who gets on base at a below-average clip, which is a bench role at best and organizational depth at worst.
