What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The contact is legitimate. At AAA in 2026, Furman has hit .293 with just 55 strikeouts across 468 plate appearances, and the translation puts his K% at 15.5% in an MLB context, roughly six and a half points cleaner than the average big-league hitter. The trouble is everything else: his .12 ISO at AAA translates to .113, and a second baseman who doesn't hit the ball hard enough to clear that bar regularly is going to need every stolen base and every one of those 52 walks just to stay relevant. If the contact shape holds and the walk rate (translating to 9.7%) travels, you have a useful bench piece who can get on base and annoy pitchers; if the power floor doesn't nudge up even a little, there's no margin.
