Lombardi is punching out batters at 12.6 per nine across 72 innings at A-ball in 2026, which translates to roughly 8.4 K/9 in MLB context, nearly identical to the MLB mean, but his 44 walks in that same stretch translate to 5.5 BB/9 where MLB starters average 3.2. The K-BB% at 18% looks fine among A-ball peers, but the MLB-equivalent drops it to 11.1% against a field where 13.5% is the baseline. If the command tightens over the next two or three years, there's a back-end arm here; if it doesn't, what's left is a depth piece.
