Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the whole problem. Across AAA & AA in 2026, Jose Acuna has posted a 4.6 BB/9 over 124.7 innings, and the MLB-equivalent translation puts that at 4.5, while the MLB average sits at 3.2. His strikeouts don't compensate: the translated K/9 of 7.8 falls short of the MLB average 8.6, and the K-BB% translation lands at 10.1% where MLB averages 13.5%. The WHIP is 1.3 and the ERA is 4.50, which looks passable until those command gaps remind you how thin the margin is. If the walks come down enough to close that K-BB% gap, there's a back-end arm here; if they don't, this profile goes straight to depth.
