The walk rate is the loudest thing in this profile, and it's also the part that won't fully survive the climb. At 16 BB% through 373 PA at A-ball, JoJo Parker is drawing 61 walks at 19 years old, translating to an 11.3% MLB-equivalent rate while the average big-league hitter sits at 8.5%. The problem is the rest of the translation: a 29.1% MLB-equivalent strikeout rate and a .127 ISO suggest a player whose raw power hasn't shown up yet where it matters, and the gap between his .381 OBP and .243 average is almost entirely load-bearing on that walk rate holding at higher levels. If the strikeout rate hardens as the stuff gets better and the ISO doesn't grow, what's left is a bench piece who takes his base, useful but not a regular.
