Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The power profile at AAA is loud enough to make you lean forward: 13 home runs in 177 plate appearances, a .567 slugging mark, and an ISO that translates to .194 in the majors when the league median sits at .150. Thirty walks in 177 plate appearances do real work too, translating to 11.8% at the big-league level against a league figure of 8.5%. The problem behind all that is a 29% strikeout rate at AAA that translates to 26.6% in the majors, well above average, and for a catcher with a .412 OBP that invites the obvious question: how much rope does he get to hit, and does that contact rate tighten as pitchers learn him? If the power holds and the walks stay, you have an everyday catcher with genuine offensive upside; if the strikeouts metastasize and the BABIP regresses from .316, the floor is a reserve piece who mashes when the matchup cooperates.
