Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The .467 OBP at AA is the headline, but the one home run across 169 plate appearances is the ceiling check. Jake Fox is putting up a genuinely elite contact-and-walk profile, 33 walks against 24 strikeouts, a BB% that translates to 12.5% at the MLB level where the average sits at 8.5%, a K% that would sit below the MLB mean, and doing it at a level where it counts. The ISO is the honest limiter: .137 at AA shrinks to .129 in MLB-equivalent terms, below average, which means everything hinges on whether his hit-tool carries enough BABIP into the majors to keep the OBP livable without the thump. First base without power is a narrow lane, and the ceiling here is a platoon bat or bench piece, not a regular, but the discipline is so far ahead of his peers that even the floor offers real organizational value.
