What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the whole argument. Across 302 AAA plate appearances in 2026, Berry has drawn 46 walks against just 43 strikeouts, and the translation puts his K% at 18.0 where the MLB average sits at 22.0 — a hitter who simply does not give away outs. The problem is everything past first base: his .111 ISO at AAA translates to .113 at the MLB level, well short of the .150 MLB average, and four home runs in 302 plate appearances tells you the power profile isn't carrying any weight. If the plate discipline lands in full, he's a useful bench bat who can work counts and get on base; if the organization needs a third baseman who can hit, the .362 slugging won't survive the jump.
