Ferris has posted a 4.5 BB/9 at AAA this season, and the MLB-equivalent translation puts that figure at 4.2, a full point above where league-average MLB starters live — meaning the stuff that generates 119 strikeouts in 109 innings is packaged with control that would play below average in the bigs. His K-BB% translates to 11.6% at the MLB level, short of the 13.5% MLB average, and that gap is the ceiling suppressor. If the walk rate tightens, you have a multi-inning reliever or setup piece for a Dodgers club that knows how to use leverage arms; if it doesn't, he's organizational depth who misses enough bats to stick on a roster but never commands a high-leverage role.
