Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The power is loud for a 19-year-old shortstop: 26 home runs and a .251 ISO across A+ & A, and when the translation comes through, the raw pop holds near league average at the MLB level. What doesn't hold as cleanly is the strikeout rate, which translates to 30.0% when MLB runs around 22.0%, and that's the whole tension in the profile. The .382 OBP is doing real work, built on 63 walks in 547 plate appearances, but if the strikeouts don't compress as he climbs, the hit tool, currently gorgeous at .295 with a .362 BABIP that will need to earn itself again, becomes the variable that decides everything. Right now this reads like a player two to three years from the big leagues who could be a second-division regular if the contact improves, or a bench bat who runs into power if it doesn't.
