The .312 average and .896 OPS at AA are loud, and they should be — 538 plate appearances is a real season, not a hot week. What complicates the read is the translation: the power that looks like a carrying tool at AA (.204 ISO, 22 home runs) softens to a .154 MLB equivalent, and the strikeout rate ticks up to 23.1% against a game where the average hitter strikes out 22.0% of the time. The walk rate translates cleanly at 9.0%, but that's a support beam, not a foundation. If the power holds any of its AA shape in the upper levels, Dreiling is a useful left-handed center fielder who can spell an everyday player and take a walk; if the ISO just melts on contact with better arms, what's left is a high-BABIP profile that won't survive the jump.
