The surface numbers are clean enough to make you look twice: .282/.363/.480 across AA & A+ with 19 home runs in 491 plate appearances, and the strikeout rate percentile sits at 83rd in this pool. But the translation is where the profile flattens out. That .198 ISO across AA & A+ becomes .146 in MLB equivalent terms, right around what the average big-league hitter produces, and the walk rate that looks disciplined at 10% in the minors sheds to 8.3% against a big-league field where 8.5% is ordinary. What Gleed actually is, translated, is a right-handed third baseman with average power and a contact profile that just barely holds at the big-league level. If the contact rates travel and the power doesn't erode further, he's a bench piece who can start a week and not embarrass anyone. If the power is a function of level, there's not much left to build on.
