What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the one real asset here, and everything else undercuts it. At AA in 2026, Drew Beam has posted a 6.9 K/9 with a 6.50 ERA across 129 innings, and when you translate that strikeout rate to an MLB context it comes in at 6.5 while the MLB average sits at 8.6 — a gap that leaves almost no margin for anything else to go wrong. The control is genuinely fine; his 2.9 BB/9 at AA translates to exactly league-average walk rate, which is a real skill, but a pitcher who misses bats at the 6th percentile of his peer pool needs control that does more than match the field. If the strikeout rate doesn't tick up meaningfully, what remains is a depth arm, and that's the ceiling the profile already names.
