What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The WHIP sits at 1.0 across 85.7 innings at AA, and the 97th-percentile mark against his pitcher pool says the contact suppression has had real room to breathe. The trouble is that the translation strips the surface shine away: his 10.8 K/9 at AA becomes 8.8 at the MLB-equivalent level, right at the mean, and the walk rate follows him upward to 3.8, a tick worse than league-average pitchers face as a baseline. That gap between the pretty ERA and the pedestrian underlying rates is the whole profile, a pitcher who limits damage without missing enough bats or throwing enough strikes to grow into more than a depth arm. If the contact suppression holds in a harsher environment he's a useful rotation filler; if it doesn't, the strikeout and walk rates leave very little margin.
