The contact grades out at the 99th percentile among AA hitters this season, and 62 strikeouts across 556 plate appearances is a real skill, not a small-sample quirk. Cristofer Torin hits .281 with an 11% strikeout rate at AA at 21, and the MLB-equivalent translation puts his K% at 15.3 against a league that whiffs at 22.0% — that gap is the whole argument for him. The problem is everything else: his translated ISO sits at .129 while the MLB average runs at .150, and his walk rate translates to 7.5% where the average sits at 8.5%, so the ceiling math just doesn't add up to a regular. If the power develops toward his current .160 ISO in a harsher run environment, you have a legitimate everyday shortstop candidate; if it stays where the translation says it lives, you have a very good bench bat with a contact profile that plays.
