The surface numbers are genuinely tidy, 3.3 ERA and 1.2 WHIP across AAA & AA, 28 starts, 151.4 innings, but the translation to MLB context is where the profile gets honest. The strikeout rate that looks workable at the upper minors becomes a 7.2 K/9 when MLB averages 8.6, and the K-BB% translates to 10.8% against a 13.5% baseline, which is the part that doesn't bend: a left-hander who misses bats at a below-average clip in the big leagues is living on contact management and sequencing luck, not margin.
