Leiter is punching out batters at 13.6 per nine at A-ball, 54 in 35.7 innings, with a K-BB% that ranks in the 93rd percentile of the pitcher pool — but his 4.8 walks per nine translates to 4.5 in MLB-equivalent terms, well above a league average sitting near 3.2, and that gap is the whole argument. If the walks tighten, there's a real starter profile somewhere in here; if they don't, the strikeouts become window dressing on a guy who can't hold a zone long enough to matter, and you're left with a depth arm at 22.
