What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the best thing about Blake Wehunt, which tells you most of what you need to know. Across AAA & AA this season he's posted a 3.2 BB/9 that translates cleanly to the majors, and the 3.5 ERA over 100.4 innings is tidy enough, but the strikeout side doesn't hold up: 9.3 K/9 in the minors melts to an 8.1 MLB equivalent, and a K-BB% that translates to 12.6% sits just below where big-league starters need to be to avoid living on the margin. He can be useful as long as the command stays where it is; if hitters stop chasing and the walk rate creeps up, there's no strikeout upside to absorb the damage. Depth arm, honest floor, honest ceiling.
