What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the loudest thing on this card, and it's also the problem. At A+ in 2026, Blake Mitchell has drawn 113 walks in 511 plate appearances, a 22% clip that sits at the 99th percentile of his pool, and he's added 27 stolen bases and 23 home runs on top of it, a legitimately unusual combination for a catcher at 21. But the .234 average against a .346 BABIP tells you the strikeouts aren't disappearing, and when that contact rate translates to an MLB-equivalent 36.8% K%, what survives the jump is a 15.4% walk rate propped up against average power at .152 ISO. The whole profile hinges on whether the discipline holds as pitchers locate better, because if the strikeouts climb and the walks compress even modestly, the .234 average becomes the story rather than the footnote. If it works, he's a patient, borderline-average offensive catcher who runs; if it doesn't, the bench is the ceiling.
