Deterministic, stat-grounded reads from the current ValuCast prospect board. These reports explain the evidence; they do not change rank or value.
What the reports say
1 matching report. Stats come from ValuCast-owned MiLB context; peak notes come from the peak projection, not public scouting grades.
The walk rate is the whole argument. Letson has issued 47 walks across 94.7 innings at AA, and when you translate that to an MLB context it sits at 4.4 BB/9 while the MLB average runs 3.2 — the stuff misses bats often enough (99 strikeouts in that same sample), but the command undercuts whatever the swing-and-miss can build. His K-BB% translates to 10.5% at the MLB level, well short of the 13.5% MLB average, which is the shape of a pitcher who battles counts rather than controls them. If the walk rate tightens, there's a back-end arm hiding in here; if it doesn't, what's left is organizational depth.
