At AAA, 7.5 K/9 ranks in the 11th percentile among pitchers with 20-plus innings, and the MLB-equivalent translation puts that at 7.2, a number that won't play at the back of a rotation and has nowhere to hide if the walk rate slips. The walk rate is the one thing that looks passable, 3.4 BB/9 at the 77th percentile in AAA, but it translates to 3.5 at the MLB level while the sport averages 3.2, meaning even the good part of the profile barely survives the jump. What you're left with is a 5.3 ERA across 110 AAA innings and a K-BB% that translates to 9.8 where MLB pitchers average 13.5, a profile that needs a swing-and-miss pitch to emerge or a role change to survive, and right now neither shows up in the line.
