The walk rate is the thing. Across AA & A+, Alfredo Duno has drawn 66 walks against 102 strikeouts in 433 plate appearances, and the translation puts his walk rate at 11.4% when MLB hitters average 8.5%, which is unusual plate discipline for a 20-year-old catcher. The .395 OBP and .223 ISO across AA & A+ are genuine production at a real level, not a paper line. Where it gets complicated is the strikeout rate: 24% in the minors translates to 26.8% at MLB difficulty, and if that's what he is at full difficulty, the ISO translating to .155 means you're betting heavily on the walk rate holding to make the profile work. The ceiling here is modest, and if the walks regress and the strikeouts don't, what's left is a depth catcher.
