Across 123.3 innings at AAA in 2026, Kloffenstein has posted a 5.0 ERA and a 1.4 WHIP, and the MLB-equivalent work puts his strikeout rate at 7.6 per nine while the average big-leaguer strikes out 8.6 per nine, his walk rate translates to 4.7 where the MLB mean is 3.2, and his K-BB% comes out at 8.4 percent in a league where 13.5 is ordinary. That gap between strikeouts and walks is the problem: 68 walks against 111 strikeouts in AAA is a command profile that doesn't survive a promotion, and nothing in these numbers suggests the contact suppression to compensate.
